  • Indicate your area of interest (e.g. pain, ethics)
  • Indicate your geographical region of interest (e.g. Africa/Asia).


Additional information:

  • Preferred mode of interaction (e.g. voice chat, email)
  • Frequency of interactions (e.g. weekly, monthly)
  • Indicate if interested in learning, teaching or interacting with a colleague.
  • Any other information that is deemed to be essential should be entered.

Recommendations:

  • Go through an institution
  • Outline the expectations from both parties prior to starting the interactions (e.g. frequency/mode of interaction)
  • Periodically, re-evaluate to determine if goals are met.
  • Ask questions!
  • If the physician does not follow your recommendations, do not feel offended.  You are an advisor and not the patient's physician.
  • Have an alternate plan.
  • Plan a trip to the site in the beginning/end of the exercise.
