- This forum is open to all members of the palliative care team (e.g. physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, researchers, counselors, pharmacists, dieticians, etc.)
Interests:
- Indicate your area of interest (e.g. pain, ethics)
- Indicate your geographical region of interest (e.g. Africa/Asia).
Additional information:
- Preferred mode of interaction (e.g. voice chat, email)
- Frequency of interactions (e.g. weekly, monthly)
- Indicate if interested in learning, teaching or interacting with a colleague.
- Any other information that is deemed to be essential should be entered.

Recommendations:
- Go through an institution
- Outline the expectations from both parties prior to starting the interactions (e.g. frequency/mode of interaction)
- Periodically, re-evaluate to determine if goals are met.
- Ask questions!
- If the physician does not follow your recommendations, do not feel offended. You are an advisor and not the patient's physician.
- Have an alternate plan.
- Plan a trip to the site in the beginning/end of the exercise.
