"Great innovation! This will help many in the developing world."
Guestbook submission by Dr Anne Merriman, Hospice Africa Uganda, Kampala, Uganda
Using widely available internet technology, Palliative Care Network provides a platform for palliative care professionals to teach, interact, and exchange ideas with fellow colleagues in places around the world where the knowledge gap is wider than the technology gap.
Palliative Care Network's directory gives palliative care professionals worldwide access to colleagues to provide educational support.
How it Works
Palliative Care Network is a participant driven platform. It transcends borders and establishments of all kinds and places people in direct contact with one another. In order for this to happen, participants must be proactive!
To get started, palliative care specialists submit their contact information to this website. Once the information is posted in the directory, the participant is then encouraged to reach out to others in the directory with whom they may want to communicate or to whom they can be of service.
Guests visiting this website who would like educational support must search the directory for a suitable match and then establish contact.
Once a partnership is established, we encourage participants to contact us occasionally with an update that can be published to help inspire others.

We want to share our experience with our colleagues and hope that our experience will be replicated to benefit patients in need. The whole concept is best reflected by the famous Chinese proverb,
Our experience has shown that this is exactly what we have achieved. Your short term commitment can be a long term investment in the alleviation of another's pain and suffering.
Many of our colleagues wish to volunteer to help people in distant locations. Now it is possible without the requisite time and expense of travel, and it is just a click away using available technology.
Imparting knowledge to one colleague will help alleviate the suffering of many patients.
Invitation: Get Involved
Interact with a colleague, submit your information.
This forum is open to all members of the palliative care team e.g. physicians, nurses, social workers, therapists, researchers, counselors, pharmacists, dieticians, etc.
You can teach, learn or share your experiences with colleagues around the world. Interaction between participants does not have to be hi-tech. It can be as simple as an exchange of emails between colleagues. The frequency of the interactions can all be tailored to the needs of the participants.
Your participation will help alleviate suffering around the world.
